So, um, how do you think you'll do on the spelling/grammar portion of the written test?

Put on your seatbelt first and don't move the car until your passenger has too. Friend of mine lost points because after waiting there for a while the dmv person didn't put on their seatbelt and he started moving. Apparently he was supposed to ask her to put it on.

really? damn. that shows how different it is from state to state. in mass a girl was failed because she refused to drive until the state trooper (here state troopers give the tests) put on his seatbelt. since he was an on duty police officer, he legally doesnt have to wear a seatbelt. she didnt know that aparently, and since she wouldnt start the car, he just failed her.

So, um, how do you think you'll do on the spelling/grammar portion of the written test?

no need to worry, its done on a computer with pictures. its made so a person who doesnt speak english can pass the test.

oh, and also in MA you fail if you dont pass any portion of the test. i still dont see why they require parallel parking but not highway driving... well okay, the time it would take. but besides that.

Even if your mirrors are good, check them with the tester in the car.

And don't break any laws! In Illinois, going over the speed limit is an instant fail. And don't forget that a stop sign means a complete stop.

One more thing, whenever you are checking something...make sure the instructor notices. Exaggerate your looks basically

It's multiple guess, fill in the circles, don't even have to stay in the lines.

When your backing up along the curb be sure to adequately check all mirrors and look over your right shoulder in case of children.

He asked why and she told him to use both lanes. Needless to say, he was pissed.

I had points taken off for turning into the other lane....


look like you know what you are doing, I guess I looked around too much on my three point turn so I had points taken off for "poor visibility" crazy old power tripping female... whatever.

i hate the DMV. you probably will too.

first time i failed because the instructor was blind and thought i turned turned left on a red onto an extremely busy highway full of morning commuters. its impossable, i would have been hit by like 5 cars. he wouldn't admit he was looking at the wrong light. i even went back to the spot after the test to look, and the sun was shining into a light and made it glow yellowish, when it was really green. so somewhow i ran a red. whatever.

tips:
dont open your mouth. just stfu.
and make sure the instructor looks and seems happy. if not, then may god be with you.

i got yelled at in ebonics because i said why i did something when the instructor had her face in her notebook(couldn't see what i was doing).
i think what she said translated to something like this: "Dont you tell me what i sawed boy! i could fail yous!"

i'm never going back there unless i absolutely have to.

Ha, my test was absolute cake. Got in the car (A/C less) and proceeded to do the predrive checklist started her up, and took the test. I think I nailed everything, although I really don't know since I was never given a score or told what I did right or wrong. That might of been due to the fact that since my car didn't have A/C and the windows didn't really work that the tester was fiddling around with the A/C trying to get it to work, or the windows down, so she probably didn't really see anything I was doing anyways. Funny thing is she failed my friend (who I consider a better driver) the next day. Luck was with me I guess.

edit- whats the minimum age for your liscense in your state, its 16 and one month in mine.
