bleh, btx format is crappy anyway.

I'm running an matx system so I shouldn't be talking anyway.

      /running an A64 x2 4400+, BFG 7800GTX, and 2 gigs ram
      //about to be watercooled
      ///better than XPS anyday
Not to mention that BTX isn't a widely available format if you want to switch cases.

BTW Foo, what case, and pics?

Jeez, I wish they made an mATX crossfire or SLI... I would have gone dual cards but who knows if I could fit a big enough power supply in it. I'm already having enough troubles already with cable management and soon watercooling. Hahaha.

How's the phase change system? (I'm assuming it's phase change since you said vapochill) Got WC in it too? (I'd figure so because you're running SLI)

Might as well throw out a couple more questions...

What are you running software wise?
            3dMark and superPi scores?
            Temps, overclocks?

Damn Foo, I'm getting left behind . My system specs:

              Asus A8V Deluxe
              A64 3200+ socket 939
              1G Corsair PC-3200
              ATI X-700 Pro
              Maxtor 200g SATA drive
              Lite-On DVD-Rom/CDRW (stealthed)
              Fortron 530W psu (sleeved)
Lian Li PC-60 case (hopefully soon to be a PC-70, once it's finished)

What I have in my room, ready to add (once my case is ready):

              --weapon heatercore and shroud
Laing DDC (maybe a D5 upgrade in the future)
              Danger Den TDX
Danger Den low profile acetal top Maze4 GPU
              Danger Den fillport
              t-line fitting
3/8" Tygon (if I get the D5, this will change to 1/2" Tygon)

I've finally got my PSOne LCD working with a Matrox Mystique video card (it'll be going into the PC-70) as well.

Oh, I already have the system running (in fact, I'm on it now), I just need to get my other case modded so I can get the W/C gear in the way I want. Also, I was commenting about Foo's system specs being better than mine (he lists a x2 4400+, BFG 7800GTX, and 2 gigs ram).

Yep it's a pretty standard vapochill case. I have that cooling the proc by itself.

for the vids, north/southbridges, and ram I have an Exos 2 cooling those.

Software was WinXp 64 but the conflicts were terrible so I went back to Pro.

As for benchmarking haven't done a lot of that yet. did run one run of 3dmark05 and got a raw score of 12585. not too bad considering that I ahven't done any tweaking yet.

I was interested in upgrading to xp64 a little while back. How bad were the conflicts going on? Totally not worth it right?

At this point I would NOT recommend xp64. Too many hassles with simple things like...... sound...

I beat my head up against a wall for a week trying to sort this crap out, then upped the "OMFG I'M STRESSIN' LEVELS" by calling Microsoft Tech support.

After a half hour of doing nothing but REPEATING back to the outsourced Indian tech people what I thought they said to me, I gave up.

I have never been so thoroughly disgusted with a company's tech support as I am with MS.

It's inconceivable to me that they have hired an entire country to deal with sometimes comlplicated technical issues and language, and their help can't be understood, nor communicated with clearly.

So the short answer is again no, give it 6 months or a year for them to mainstream it. The conecpt is good, but the details will make you insane.

kind of off topic, but we should have a thread dedicated to good down loads for computers. including: fire walls, anti virus, and other applications for puters.

                          just a though.
who ever said "its not whether you win or lose..." probably lost.
