Impeached? Probably not, because its questionable whether the wiretapping order could be considered blatantly illegal. I'd consider those demands to be political posturing.

However, the judgement he had shown in ordering the tapping is certainly questionable. My real concern is the lack of public outrage.

i agree with this in alot of ways. bush had a lack of judgment thats for sure but there is alot of public outrage in Ca (but there is always something going on there) and in new jersey

Re: the wire tapping, there's precedent dating back as far as Carter, who actually signed a law with a section titles "Electronic surveillance without a court order." Also, as recently as 2004 wire tapping without a FISA warrant was held up in the supreme court.

What really tickles me funny is how when Clinton did it under a program called "Echelon" and used it for economic purposes nobody said a damned thing, but now they want Bush impeached.
