    HDTV question

I just picked up a Samsung 30" HDTV with a built in HD tuner. I finally got it out of the box yesterday and plugged in all my cable hook-ups (not digital cable). The picture is really fuzzy. Does anyone know what the problem could be. One thing I'm thinking is that the cable wire I'm using is really old and pretty small, so I may need a new cable wire. Please tell me if I'm right of wrong. Thanks for your help!

is this the slim fit? if so nice tv also, yes you need new cables, and you could really use digital cable. the picture will only look as good as the weekest part in the system, grab some monster cable up, and go to town, also look into getting digital cable, and a dvd player with hdmi output.

Seriously, you want to return that Slimfit Samsung and get a Sony or an LG (LG is aka Philips, the #2 LCD panel manufacturer int he world behind Sony)if you can. The Slimfit HD Samsungs have horrible geometry issues, as well as many others. Don't believe me? Go here and read about it:

You're experiencing what NTSC cable looks like on an HD LCD panel that is not displaying it's native resolution. I've been working in broadcast television for years with NBC with my dad, so I'm not just making stuff up here.

Make sure your cable line is at least 16 AWG, preferebly shielded, preferebly pushing 12dB gain but you probably have no way of measuring that.

My pick, personally, the Sony Bravia 32" HD LCD panel set. Thats what I have.
