    i need itunes help!!!!!

alright so this morning i was setting up my parents computer for their ipods i got them and i figured i might as well consolidate everything and update my laptop with thre newest version of itunes... after install ect. of 6.0.1 i go to run it and nothing happens....... after a couple of minuites it flashes a license agreement and dissappears...... i figure i need to restart...... tried that, still same story...... now im getting a bit worried about the 1549 songs i had worked so hard to get..... i dont know what to do!!
(my laptop is a Dell inspiron 1100 with a few ups to the drive and graphics card, '02/03 somwhere around there, maybe thats important?)

If I were you i would backup my songs first. Burn them onto dvd, cd, or what have you. Then I would try to re-install itunes from the website. If that doesnt work, then I dont know. Definatley backup your songs though.

LOL, That sucks dude. Your MP3's might still be there though. Check "My Docs/Music" and you can also do a system restore and backup the files. Good luck

Try opening all of the songs via mediaplayer or musicmatch or somthing. With newer versions of mediaplayer and most versions of musicmatch you can burn data cd and dvd. This way you wont lose everything.

              C:\Documents and settings\example user\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music

did you check out that folder already?

Edit: do you have your own personal ipod with all your music on it? If so here try this out

              hope that helps

                  screw iTunes.

use the ipod plug-in for Winamp.. the thing ROCKS.
