How much memory on your video card? BF2 needs at least 128MB on the video.

just got the video card and extra ram yesterday. i love it so far and can actually play halo on this computer again, but the fan on the video card is fairly noisy. then again, i dont have the case closed yet, im still waiting on the cable.

i hated the mouse that came with the computer which was a ball mouse and would skip around or "freeze" sometimes, so i ended up getting this mouse: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826147001 i figured what the heck, its $4, and it was surprisingly nice for the price. i havent had any problems with it yet, its comfortable and works well. a while ago i tried a logitech wireless mouse, but that had problems and would occasionally reset back to the center of the screen and not move for a second or two.

I got the Logitech MX518 for Christmas. It's corded, but it has a noticeably better response time than my last Logitech wireless (wasn't for gaming.). It took me a hour or so to get used to but it is amazing now, the buttons are awesome for little tasks like quick-switching in CS etc.

                      Software

So I have been running Norton Anti-virus latest edition and I keep it up to to date. Some guy the other day told me that NOD32 was better. Anything to this?

I hate virus protection. I havent found any that doesnt make the computer suck, all the while not blocking the viruses. So I say screw it and just reformat my HD when it gets all gunked up with crap. Keeps a computer running fresh for years.

And as far as a linux boot disk for my internetting schemes, that wont work. I still need to run all the government programs and what not just in case a war pops up while Im over there.

They have a free version with no support and some features have been taken out. I've tried alot of different programs and noticed that some scan that others could not and some updates once a week. I went with it because it was free and others at my work recommended it.
