        The '74 was the redesign which used a smaller caliber (much to Kalashnikov's displeasure).

            If you have money to blow, buy an MP-5 that shoots 9mm or .40SW. They've always been available and they are economical to shoot as long as you can get over the $5,000 sticker on the gun.

                        they were specificaly banned in connecticut during the assault ban, im trying to find out if they were unbanned during sept 13 04 along with the normal bans.
