I have a Samsung Syncmaster which is phenominal. I have a 17" though, got it on sale for around $200. But I can recomend Samsung LCD's accross the board.

The Monitor you linked to looks pretty nice for the price, I'd google it to see if any good reviews come up though.

    Good luck!

Acer makes a nice monitor! Anandtech recently recommended them in a build up review.

I personally use a Dell 2005FPFW widescreen. Inside is the same LG panel that Apple uses in their Cinema displays! I snagged it for $346 before x-mas. Once a year they put them on sale along with the Delf games, and you can snag a coupon. Booyah!

Honestly, I've never heard of that company you linked. I like to stick with established names, ESPECIALLy when dealing with displays. Think about it, you are going to be looking/using it alll the time. You want something nice and with a good warrenty. Dead pixels, poor backlighting/light bleeding, screen door effects, etc. will drive you insane.

You can not beat the price/quality of this LCD

Although, it depends on what you are looking for. I have three of these at work as well as a couple $400 SONY's and a $400 Dell... the Viewsonic is awesome!

thanks for the input everyone. If i had the cash the dell UltraSharp 2005FPW would be my choice. The ag neovo has won many awards in its class and im more on a 300$ budget.

For 900 bucks you could do what I did. Buy a Samsung HDTV LCD and use the PC-Input on the back for pc and the component video for Xbox 360, DVD's, and digital cable. you can watch TV and use the PC at the same time in split screen mode.

Current HDTV's are not good computer monitors. They are fine for web browsing, or writing documents, etc. Once you play games or do anything that requiers a fast response time or a "normal" resolution the restrictions quickly become apparent. This is why I crack up when people tell me that the XBOX 360 has "great graphics!"

                Get a Sceptre

You should get a Sceptre, they aren't really a big name brand, but they've been around for a while and are based in Silicon Valley in Cali. Sceptre usually builds special monitors, like touch screen and 300" modular screens, but is now going more mid stream and you can get some at Costco and other retailers. They are really reasonable, reliable, and they have crisp color, I've got two, ones a 20" widescreen and the other is a regular 19" flat screen. The widescreen was bought at costco at around $380, a really good deal, and the 19" was bought off their website at around $300 fully shipped. They have 8ms response, good dpi ,and good contrast and resolution. Sceptre is the way to go.
