High Def (480p) with PS2

Gran Turismo 4 supports 480p and 1080i and widescreen with a HDTV. I have a HDTV... but do I need the componet set for the PS2? And is there a little option to select which definition or whatever?

Yeah, you need the component cables. I don't remember how the PS2 handles any options...

It's really quite a bit of difference going from the RCA vid to components.
