well...... more dissappontment on the topc of halo 3........ more delays....... and now it wont even counter the launch of ps3!!!!!! oh no! but i havent heard anything on it for a very long time...... and the thread about the halo movie is sorta dead, but is there any more information out there? what have you guys heard about halo3 and/or the halo movie?

hmm, sometime ill have to pick up an xbox... i still have yet to play halo 2. i sort of dropped out of playing video games a while ago. actually, i didnt even know there was a halo 3 in production.

You know...I'm not surprised. With Halo 3 being developed for the new 360 I would expect longer development times. With games and consoles maturing and becoming very advanced, it's no surprise that the developers would need more time to make a game on it. People take for granted and think producing games is such an easy task. With each new generation of games, people want more gameplay, better graphics, quality sounds and voice actors, etc etc. People want it now...and when they get it, sometimes they're disappointed and can't understand why it's not leaps and bounds better than what's already out there. Then there are those who wait and complain that it's taking too long...but in the end, sometimes those games offer more for the gamer or push the genre even further.

Not to sound bitter, I'm not. I'm just giving my input as to what I've experienced. I'm just barely finishing the end of our development cycle and it just doesn't get any easier trying to push a product out the door. Developers almost sacrifice their lives for months and if you're a lucky one, a year or so, just to release a game. The sad part is, most of the time, the blood, sweat, and tears are overlooked by gamers and reviewers. But regardless of all that, it's quite rewarding in the end knowing you've completed something you've worked hard on.

All I know is, the games just keep looking better and better. I just wished the gameplay would keep up. You also have to realize, Bungie is to consoles like the Blizzard is to PC gaming. They will release a game when it's ready.

a lot of people are assuming that it is. bungie keeps refering to "the current project". it could be halo 3, it could be something in the marathon series, could be something totally new. the only thing you will get out of bungie right now is that they are working on a project, working on the movie, and the halo 2 soundtrack volume 2 is about done and will be released sometime.

Considering that the PS3 keeps getting delayed also they might end up coming out at the same time after all... From what I read a few days ago some analysts don't think the PS3 is going to even make it to market this year.
