You know, not only do a LOT of these bands suck, but they just have really, really CRAPPY names that reflect no creativity what-so-ever.

Fall Out Boy for sure... god they suck so freakin bad. Coheed and Cambria come in second. Green Day's "music" blows and they are a bunch of sellouts. It seems that anything that appears on MTV's top 10 list or any popular top 10 list is crap. I think kids these days have a warped view of music IMO.

Tell me, how did greenday sell out? do they still not put all of their heart and soul into each performance? are they wearing cocacola or pepsi patches when they play?

So they created an awesome album (and yes im tired of hearing it too) and they put it for sale. It was a huge hit. They made a video or 3, all huge hits because the songs were such huge hits. Did they ever change their sound to appease any labels or supporters?

do you even realize american idiot is a rock opera? or is supposed to be interpreted as one? heck, i think there is even a full length movie out there of it, it was on bravo a while ago.

greenday is not my favorite band, am i a fan? yes, but not fanatical, but that argument had absolutely no grounds.

Um, I think that was about as far away from a flame as you can get. He presented an opinion, and supported it with ideas. No name-calling, either.

And on that note, I pretty much agree with everything magman said. I've been a Green Day fan for a LONG time, and I do like American Idiot, in a different way from how I like their earlier stuff. And I saw them play a couple years ago... my GOD do they put on a great show. Top notch.
