So they created an awesome album (and yes im tired of hearing it too) and they put it for sale. It was a huge hit. They made a video or 3, all huge hits because the songs were such huge hits. Did they ever change their sound to appease any labels or supporters?

do you even realize american idiot is a rock opera? or is supposed to be interpreted as one? heck, i think there is even a full length movie out there of it, it was on bravo a while ago.

greenday is not my favorite band, am i a fan? yes, but not fanatical, but that argument had absolutely no grounds.
not to get everyone else off track, but green day sold out by saying goodbye to punk music (time of your life) then trying this mainstream punk/emo music with a slight touch of their old stuff. O and the worst band on the radio is g-unit. anything rap. AKA candyshop? WTF IS THIS RETARD "SPITTING" ABOUT....HE CAN'T EVEN OPEN HIS MOUTH ENOUGH TO SPIT IN A LITERAL SENSE, LET ALONE ACTUAL WORDS.

Too many to list, but I do have a way of recognizing a bad band. The singer is a guy but sounds like a girl, they are played on MTV more than 4 times a day, and cry about scraping their knee/getting dumped.

      And Greenday sucks.

I hate it when people have such limited views about music.

-U2, Joshua Tree, what an amazing album. Honestly I love it. Granted I don't care for U2 now, I would go as far as to say that I despise them now, but they are definitely not the worst band.

-Any Rap group? That is such a broad swath of music to encompass as the worst band ever. Sure, I don't like the "gangsta'" rap of today, your 50 cent, Nelly, etc. But I love, love, love to put on Young MC's "Bust a Move" or Public Enemy's "Burn Hollywood, Burn" The type of rap back when the lyrics were politically charged with clever refferences to obscure political events, or to something they truly cared about. Not today's "Check out mah' grill ****** ******" type rap. (By the way, the Beastie Boys are hip-hop, not rap)

-In reference to the "I'm tired of bands who have no creativity in naming." in conjunction with Deathcab for Cutie, I believe it is a referrence to a film in the 1950's or the mid 1900's. I think that this band is amazing. Ben Gibbard is an amazing lyricist, the way he puts words together and makes them fit with such ease is just pure beauty to me. The music is amazing as well. (I also love his other project, The Postal Service)

On to the worst band in my opinion.

Siscle and Ebert. I think they would make an aweful band.

                -Isaac.

well, i agree with everything other than the Deathcab for Cutie thing, just because I don't particularly care for them.

Joshua Tree was indeed an amazing album, and is still one of my favorite Cd's to date.

                      system of a down

Although rap may not be as complex or intellectual as other music, I still have fun listening to stuff like ludacris and ying yang twinz. Plus its the music they play at clubs, and there just so happends to be a nice selection of women there wanting to dance, so I must entertain them.

first of all... i have to say i like death cab... sure... they're softer than most of the stuff i listen to, but it sounds like they actually put some heart into their music

worst... meh... how about bad... mudvayne, slipknot, kittie, any of those type of "mainstream" "metal" bands. lets just say the 'f' word as much as possible and call it a song... oh lets throw some power chords and a pound on the double bass pedals a lot. terrible... absolutely terrible.

hm... what else... anything that's considered "rock" that is played on all the radio stations usually sucks.

If people actually listen to death cab's lyrics they're pretty, for a lack of a better word, deep
