Clear channel ultimately decides what plays on their stations ... they only play what they think is hot and all of their stations mimic this. They dont care to play what people want to listen to, only what thier numbers tell them will sell more advertisments.

FCC may limit language and such, but they are not the ones that decide what song gets repeated 15 times a day.

In my opinion XM has a better channel line up. Not to mention more live broadcasts and triple the subscribers of Sirius.

It would take a while to explain why I feel this way, and I don't want to hijack the thread. I just wanted to say that Clear Channel sucks, and may they all rot in hell.

But why do you have to tune from your FM radio? Is it the set up you have?
It's just the setup I received. While it can get annoying, I have found some "static" channels that will work in large areas.

XM- While I haven't checked on their programing lately, a year back I was looking into them as one of the options. XM didn't have anything that caught my eye, outside of MLB (FM radio works for me on that one).

Sirius is coming along. With the addition of Howard and Bubba, they will be picking up more and more talent along the way. Another great thing about Sirius... "The Hair Channel" *80's rock*. Always a good laugh.

Oh and Clear Channel are a bunch of retards and should die. Viacom/Infinity is just as bad. Both said they would defend Howard from the persecution of the FCC but once the FCC said they would limit their radio station purchases, they backed down like whipped dogs. I dislike them very much, especially for overplaying the "top 40" and having commercials 29 minutes out of every hour.
        Sorry, I'm old
