Back in high school, we had the opportunity to make an extra credit video. It had to be a campaign ad for a local House representative (at the time, running for election) about any current issue. Quasi-former AOer FalconGuy016 and I decided this sounded like an easy way to boost our grade, and did an ad for Lisa Marie Cheney on the subject of gun control... sort of.
We forgot about the assignment until the night before it was due. The only camera we had was a point-and-click Cannon Powershot A70 that just happened to have a (crappy) video feature. Clearly we had no script, just made this crap up on the fly.
Oh, and since it was just the two of us, one of us always had to be holding the camera, meaning both of us could never actually interact with eachother on camera. And we each had to play multiple characters.
We realized right away that there was no chance of this being any good, so we decided to make it as terrible as possible. I think we succeeded.
Our government teacher showed all the videos in class after they were turned in. All of them except ours. In retrospect, I have just one thing to say: thank you for your compassion, Dr. Davis!
