Try googling "scam baiters" and such. There are some hilarious stories out there of people turning the scam around on these people.

My buddy invented a persona and had some Russian scammer going for months.

One that I remember was a some African group that wanted the owner of a computer shop to ship computers to them. The owner managed to get the scammers to pay for the shipping. If I remember correctly, he shipped two big boxes of broken computer parts and bricks to Africa. The shipping costs were a few thousand dollars. The real funny part is the scambaiter sending these emails to them like he had no idea it was a scam. "I don't understand, the check you sent to me was bad! I sent these parts in good faith! If I don't get paid, it will ruin me." Stuff like that. And the scammers writing back in terrible English when they realized that the scambaiter had screwed them. "We have a new gun that we bought to shoot you. We are outside you house right now! We are friends of the governor in your area!" I can't reproduce the hilarity of their grammar.

So I am really getting a kick out of most of these replies. Some of you guys are very good at making it sound like you know what you are talking about.

But trust me.... You don't.

I think you just want to make yourself sound smart, when in reality you don't know what you are talking about. This is how bad info gets passed around. If you don't know about the topic....Don't make yourself sound like you do.

Cuz some people will believe anything they read.
