    New ipod soon!?

OK, so according to www.cnet.com Apple released a statement that they are releasing a whole new line of products. The unveiling is this Tuesday (the last week of Feb.). They are guessing it will involve a new ipod that features a touch screen, and possibly improved format support (windows media videos, etc.)

What do you want out of Mac? They are also releasing a new laptop with a 13 inch widescreen. Supposed to be the smallest laptop ever made. But, smaller is not always better as seen in many aspects of the industry. The battery will probably not last as long as others, and the small screen may make things like typing this post very hard to do without having text magnification turned on.

Any thoughts? Hear any rumors? I, if someone doesnt beat me to it, will post any new news come Tuesday afternoon.

I heard something about them doing "their" own cell phone w/ the itunes type of thing (besides the one that Cingular offers). Overall, I think the touch screen idea wouldn't quite work, as people will lose the little stick and various other issues and things similar. I think the turn wheel is very easy to use. I think they need to increase the battery life myself.
    Sorry, I'm old

Yes, the 13 inch is "supposed to be" the thinnest/lightest laptop.

Gotta say my 12" powerbook is damn high in portability, and it's damn functional...

As for smallest, the toshiba libretto from a few years back is a lot smaller, and the current IBM x40 is about the same size.

I never used apple but I hate them for switching to Intel from IBM's PowerPC Platform they could have atleast used Via or maybe AMD. They don't dare to different anymore it seems.

Wasn't as exciting as I hoped it would have been. They released a new Speaker system that looks kinda cool, a new set of leather cases that are a hundred bucks, and a new Intel Based iMac which I guess is kinda cool.
