12 gauge isn't bad at all, if you hold it right. I've put about 200 rounds through one in one session to test a gun we repaired, and it didn't leave any bruises or anything. Most of them were reduced recoil LE rounds, though.

I personally don't think much of the storm as anything but a plinker. If you are going to carry a long gun, it might as well be a rifle caliber or shotgun.

I agree, its a step up from a pistol in some situtions, but why not have an m4, even in that decision shoot scenario? Honestly, for a pistol caliber round, I either want something small and handy (pistol) or something that can go full-auto. I can't imagine any dangerous scenario in which I'd choose a storm, unless it was the only option.

I know of at least one agency *cough* that was thinking of replacing its MP-5Ns with the storm, an idea that quickly died after near universal disagreement.

If you have not had a prior interest in firearms and now do, I strongly suggest you take a firearm safety/familiarity course. Just in case, no idea what your firearm knowledge consist of.

                Exactly. I'm leaning towards 20ga semi-auto.

Let's arrange an AO shooters day to go shoot at the range with each other. Much the way we have paintball days. You can hold the target.

But then I would get shot with bullets!

Right on, I love that gun.
Nice shooting. (As long it was more than 10 yds )

Is that one of those cool holographic sights?

Looks to an Eotech, the variant that runs on the N batteries. For CQB, Eotech and Aimpoint are both fine choices.

That storm makes me think of the new Beretta RX-4. I definately wouldn't mind getting one of them.

I think the retail price on a Storm is about $725? You can get one through an online source for as low as $500 not including shipping/FFL fees. I bought mine at cop shop for $635, could have saved some but no big deal. They are nice and light, shoulder quickly and comfortably, solid build, and a unique firearm for Beretta. Awesome styling too but stock they could use a trigger job. Yes, that is an EOTech holo sight. I love 'em but wish the prices were better, this one is not NVG compatable.

10 yards? I don't even shoot tht close with my pistol Those targets were from 50 meters to 125 meters, including zeroing the sight for the first time. If you look closely at the one pic you can see the holo crosshairs, it is much brighter in person. Red reticles and ornage targets suck together by the way!

CX-4 Storm; choice weapon of Battlestar Galactica fans everywhere!

Wow, I just saw this for the first time... the 90two.

                              Just a 92 with a reworked body, I think.

I have never seen one of those holographic sights in real life yet. Have to ask my neighbor if he has one. He is part of the Arizona DPS tactical team; he has all of the toys, and gets to write them off his taxes.
