    Ultimate Movie Review Thread!!

I was making that Failure to launch Movie thread and decided we needed a thread dedicated to movie reviews.
i figured why not get a review from people that think somewhat like me.
and when i read the reviews online i get negatives toward every movie. these grown men somehow get off bashing every negative aspect about a film.
    well here goes...............................

I know its not on the big screen, but "A History Of Violence" was just a poorly directed movie. I saw it yesterday and was utterly disappointed. The acting was good, the storyline was ok, but the characters did not fit the story, nor did anything get resolved in the movie; just an hour and a half of things happening. However, in several parts of the movie there are several people who get absolutely beat down. That is always entertaining.

Sorry for the negativity, but I had to tell someone.

Great review there, chief. I love the in depth commentary and thoughtful reflection.

sorry my friend brought this annoying *** girl and she kept talking and all i remember was i liked it
well let me try i dont want to ruin the plot but....
its an anarchist view of goverment in this film v is against the gov. it remeinded me of farenheight 451 because the censorship was that intense there are many twists and action scenes that leave you wanting more unlike the post about a history of violence v for vandetta actually solves something the acting was great and the whole movie flowed like it should.
while a history of violence was one giant climax

Hostel- I personally found that seeing how much I think Quentin Tarentino is an idiot this movie came out extremely well, you get the basics of the Euro atmosphere, hence the boobs and sex portion. The sex portion of the movie directly ties into the main story line, which to me I thought was an excellent idea, had a decent inhumane twist to it, and had the main characters get sliced and fight back. In my opinion was a great movie.

Actually, a very good CD(CDs). "Eve of the War," "Thunder Child," and "The Red Weed" are particularly good.

wow, i was worried this would end up being an updated version of "date movie" which was horrible. I guess i may have to rent it when it comes out after all.

well, i guess this thread has been revived.

i see a lot of movies with my friends, so i will contribute.

pan's labrynth: awesome movie, very well acted, great story. i really enjoyed it. the director did an awesome job on keeping you entertained from beginning to end. i think the popular description 'a fairytale for adults' is pretty accurate. 5/5

smokin aces: very well acted, great cast, cool story. had some good action, some good comedy, some boobs, etc. all around = pretty cool movie. 5/5

alpha dog: pretty good for what it is. justin timberlake surprised me as an actor; he can actually act pretty decently. good performances, lots of hot girls, partying, had some good comedy. 3.5/5

children of men: great story, awesome cast, very well acted. the movie takes place in an unbelievably real future society in ruins. the movie also sends a very good message; i liked that about it. great movie. 5/5

i think those are all that i've seen recently. i'm just waiting on seraphim falls, pathfinder and 300.
