We usually say "Pop the hood"
Instead of header tank cap it's usually just "radiator cap"
Don't generally use the word chucking unless we're throwing things
and this is usually referred to as a "petcock" (although I think petcock sounds hilarious!)

Just small differences that made me smile :)

I'm not confident in the install, so I dropped it off at a Goodyear down the street. Feel free to abuse me for said action.

Supposed to be ready to pick up tomorrow.

/So: I'm gonna mod it out, put a chip in and maybe exhaust and, like, air filter. does any1 kno the SVT kit is called???

i thought it was a cracked radiator hose ? on an 02 those cooling parts shouldnt fail that fast. if you ever wanna try to replace parts yourself a good place to get parts is autohausaz.com , they have alot of inexpensive oem parts.

Older vehicles (or old designs) only have a Radiator Cap because they only have a Radiator to store the water/coolant in. Modern (late 70's onwards) vehicles have a seperate tank in addition to the radiator, some will still have a Radiator Cap as well as the Header Tank Cap though real modern vehicles only have a sealed unit Radiator and the Header Tank.
American sophisticated engine design doesn't exactly sound right Your engines are old designs which make up for lack of modernisation by sheer size.
Drain switch (ok spelt badly originally) but the (normally) plastic lever is a switch that drains the coolant from the radiator, so that term was correct.
Terminology maybe different but you knew what I meant...chucking was used to mean 'throwing the coolant out'. If it drips out it drips, if it comes out under pressure it is 'chucking it out'.
I have often got concerned when I got back to my hire car in America and saw a puddle under the engine but now I realise that it is the AC overflow/condensed water not a fault but then in general we don't have AC on the vast majority of our vehicles, so if we see water underneath our vehicles it means something is wrong.

But the header tank cap isn't on the radiator?

GMC- cap on radiator and header tank
            Honda - Cap on both
            MG - header tank?
TVR - Cap in the middle of a hose, and header tank
            BMW - Cap on both.

This is the engine type I have currently, the picture is purely a linked version not my vehicle

The header tank is clearly visible and the radiator is a sealed unit with the drain switch at the bottom of the Radiator.

This is the kind of thing you are more used to dealing with...and they are to be honest a lot easier to fiddle with...same vehicle type as the above picture (slightly older body type but the same engine is often found in the above bodyshell as well). Just that this is a V6

Folks.. if it can stop a leak, it can plug coolant passages.
