Gimp, if you want your good 'old windows back (and your desktop too), you'll need to go into the system.ini in the windows directory. Once in there, change the command line:

shell=c:\litestepgl\litestep.exe

to

shell=c:\windows\explorer.exe

Then save the file and reboot, that should fix your problem. Any more difficulty, drop me an e-mail and I'll help.

I don't have that line in my system.ini file. I searched the whole system for a file containing that text and couldn't find it. I'm using windows 2000 professional.

The web page doesn't seem to be working for me now, but if I recall, the link was on the left column of the site. The file name was litestepGL.exe
