I love baseball, I occassionally watch it on television, but mostly just the replays. I find baseball to translate much better to radio than to television and would honestly prefer listening to a game than watching it on tv.

Go pitch 9 innings in a some-what seriious game and come back and repeat that statement with a straight face.

Yeh, because the effects on your lungs from chewing are the same as from smoking I forgot, the new generation, tobbacco in all its forms has all the negative side effects of ever other form.

Not condoning chewing - I do realize there are serious and life threatening side effects. Decreased lung capacity is probably not one of them...

Don't even try saying baseball players are in shape.

The only way you'd get that lardass to run is string a donut in front of him.

Round is a shape :) They do have physical skills that are honed by training, though obviously not all of the players are in excellent overall shape.

What about the rest of the team? 90% of the time they're just standing around. I do realize that the pitcher's arm gets tired. And it is impressive how well they throw the ball, but it's still boring.

And I didn't say that chewing effects your lung capacity. The way I wrote it made it sound that way though. Whoops. I just think it's funny that they dip in the middle of the game.

There is one good thing about baseball. It's an excuse to drink beer. You've got to do something to numb your senses because it's so boring.

Go get on a baseball field. I guarantee you wouldn't be able to make the throws that are needed, to swing the bat, to react to field any infield hit. There are lots of specific skills that are required for playing baseball that aren't as evident in other sports.

And MLB banned the use of chewing tobacco on the field years ago.

And, come on, people have different tastes in what they like to watch. There's a reason soap operas are still on so many hours every day.

They are hard to fid, they dont live too long anfter 30. Besides, most countries where 'soccer' is big are ravaged by plauge and famine. So you cant really find a fat one of anything.

                            Forza Azzurri!

I was always an Inter Milan fan myself. But now Bobo is playing in France, blah. We don't get to watch many Serie A games here anyway so I guess its not a big deal.

I've never seen any Serie A games on TV, what channel?

Juventus is like the NY Yankees of soccer. They always win. I was a big fan of Vieri, but I like Del Piero too I guess.
