AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
1911's? Got a few of those as well. The pic of the Kimber Gold Match is too big to post.I needed a 9mm for IDPA, and chose the Beretta for it's ergonomics and utter reliability (kinda like Automags!) And if their good enough for the US armed forces, as well as many Federal, State and local law enforcement agencies, their good enough for me!
Modified (by me!) 1991A-1 Compact (Officer's ACP) 45ACP. Owned and carried since 1992. I just had the night sights re-done. They had lost their "sparkle" IWI replaced them, free of charge! Excellent customer service, again, just like AGD :)
..and some German Tupperware. Heckler & Koch USP, 45ACP. MMC adjustable rear sight, and I had the barrel hard chromed. This is the gun my Son shoots at the pin & plate shoots that we frequent. (He's 19 yrs old) I like Microtech knives as well!
Hey AutoMaggot, Berretta's are American made ! Matter of fact there made in Accokeek,MD, 15 mins from my house, 25 mins outside of Washington,D.C., I think thats were they feild test them, nahh, J/K !!!!!!!!!!!!!
ahh!! all these pics of semi auto's are making me soo jealous!! I HATE MASSACHUSETTS!!! you cannot buy most of the semis, you can only buy a select few that "made the list" which are mosty older revolvers grr... but these laws are for ut of state buying only.. my dad has a 1911 (KAPP grip pannels, baby!), so we take our anger out with that.
but my main toys are my dirtbike, xr-100, getting a xr 250, or 400 in the spring, and my lil Suzuki LT-160 (fast for its size)
and when i have time off of work to shoot, i put around 200rds throigh my beretta auto shotgun, in trap shooting, adnd sporting clays when they dont need me! the shotgun has a HI-Viz fiberoptic sight on it.. it made such a different.. and i also have a jury rigged shell catcher (trap guys dont like gettin hit in the backs :))
shooting solves all problems.. we live across the street fro mthe local sportsmens club.
Ohh, me like...I have a Barreta .40, it is my favorite handgun I have. It shoots so nicely!...oh man, just thinking of it makes me want to go shoot it!
The speed safe technology is one of the best features on this knife. Flick the thumb knob on the blade properly and it will snap open the blade with a spring assist.
spacemanspiff- my dads friend has a yellow 400ex, u should really consider widening the axels. they are really narrow. he spaced the front and back out like 5 inches i think and the 4wheeler is so stable now.
Idunno Boys, remember way back when the military was first beginning its side arm testing to replace the 1911? They used the Beretta 92FS, the Steyer GB, re-evaluated the 1911, and im not sure what more they had... Anyhoo... I've read several accounts of the Department of the Navy testing the 92, and having the slide eject off of the gun itself... several SEALs lost teeth because of them! The slogan was, "You cant be a SEAL until you've eaten Itallian steel!" Hehehe... Im just way to proud of what this country produces to use anything else... unless its made by Heckler & Koch... mmmmmmm... german weapons... yummmy
Yes, Beretta has had some faults over the years. The first generation of the M9's had problems with the frames cracking as result of improper heat treating and material selection. Since then they've fixed that and so far have been pretty reliable. Also, Beretta has been American made since 94'.
You can't beat the USP for overall quality and accuracy out of the box. However, instead of getting a USP, I'm going to buy my Dad's S&W CQB .45 built by the S&W Performance Center.
