Halo 3 = teh announced

Just watch the trailer on my 360.All I got to say is wow .That game is going to rock if it looks like that.

They were (in most people's opinions) the first FPS on a console that offered every feature that people wanted at the time, combined with an excellent multiplayer setup (Halo 2) and just all together enjoyable game play, no matter how often you played or how good you were.

Every feature that people wanted? I'm sure everyone wanted repetitive levels.

Fun multiplayer, but a horrible single player game.

Goldeneye on N64 had great multiplayer and single player.

But still, neither of those games is Counter-Strike. No other FPS game in the history of video games has ruined more lives than CS.

Yeah, I've seen people come close because of counterstrike. Then it was everquest or world of warcraft, or some other stupid game. Video games peaked when quake 1 came out.

My expectations from bungie really dropped when halo 2 came out. This is probably for the better now that the wait for halo 3 is on.

I'm still trying to figure out what the big deal about Halo and Halo 2 were. Compared to some of the great PC FPS games, they really are pretty average.

i agree, weapon balance DOES suck, although that doesnt stop me from playing live at least an hour a day..... with the right combo, you can be invincible, like a sword and sniper, and the default spawn weapon (smg) is HORRIBLE. then theres the fact that people on 360's get advantages like damage resistance, faster walking speed, and greater weapon efectiveness. i akways love to go back and play some halo 1, because the weapons dont massivley outweigh each other, just too bad theres no live

Halo 2 has the best Live setup ever, have you ever tried playing anyother game online for a consol, well it pisses me off. PC and Consol, should not be compared, they are nothing alike.

Although they didnt show us much the graphics were really good. Also personally bungie should just post the date as 2008, that way instead of pushing the release dates back a coulpe times they could move it up if wanted/needed

Release date issues are the cost to Bungie of the MS buyout. They used to release them "when there done".

i actually just bought an xbox a week ago just to play halo. too bad i beat it in a few days. i plan on getting halo 2... but just for the story (which i heard sucked anyways)
my point is, what is so great about Halo? i mean, im only keeping the first for the multiplayer when i have people over.

the best thing about halo (halo 2 really) is the Live application. it is really just so much more fun, and easier to play halo2 on LIVE. when i say easier to play i dont mean the actual game play but the abillity to git into the kind of game you want quickly.
