        HAMLET
A man may fish with the worm that hath eat of a
king, and cat of the fish that hath fed of that worm.

        KING CLAUDIUS
What dost you mean by this?

        HAMLET
Nothing but to show you how a king may go a
progress through the guts of a beggar.

        KING CLAUDIUS
        Where is Polonius?

        HAMLET
In heaven; send hither to see: if your messenger
find him not there, seek him i' the other place
yourself. But indeed, if you find him not within
this month, you shall nose him as you go up the
        stairs into the lobby.

        [Hamlet, obviously]
        ----

ESCALUS: Now, sir, come on. What was done to Elbow's wife, once more?

POMPEY: Once, sir? There was nothing done to her once.

        [Measure for Measure, Shakespeare]

        ----

If I were to speak your kind of language, I would say that man's only moral commandment is: Thou shalt think. But a "moral commandment" is a contradiction in terms. The moral is the chosen, not the forced; the understood, not the obeyed. The moral is the rational, and reason accepts no commandments.

        [Atlas Shrugged, Ayn Rand]

            keep them coming

just watched this movie tonight and is one of my favorite qoutes that will live on to my kids/grandkids. "you don't win wars for dying for your country, you win wars by making the son of a ***** die for his" -General George S Patton US Army.

I'm sorry but we need more General's like him.

Another book favorite and a classic (if you don't know the author prepare to be shot)

"For to win one hundred victories in one hundred battles is not the acme of skill. To subdue the enemy without fighting is the acme of skill." - Sun Tzu, The Art of War

I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to, too.
                -Mitch Hedberg

Just found a website full of this guys stuff. He's freakin hilarious but unfortunately dead. I'll have to read into his biography a little more.

Edit: Died of a drug overdose......that would explain some of his quotes.

If we're going to quote Hamlet,

Polonius: What do you read, my lord?

                            Hamlet: Words, words, words.

and words to live by from Jim Valvano
"To me, there are three things we all should do every day. We should do this every day of our lives. Number one is laugh. You should laugh every day. Number two is think. You should spend some time in thought. And number three is, you should have your emotions moved to tears, could be happiness or joy. But think about it. If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week, you're going to have something special"

Please tell me where that comes from.

We have this fountain in the middle of campus with a few brick paths leading to it. The edges of the paths are lined by bricks that people paid money to have personalized. One of the bricks is "Fat people are harder to kidnap," and, while hilarious, I've always wondered if there's some back story.
