    Laptop cooling stations?

I'm trying to find a good cooling station for my Dell Inspiron 600m. It's not necessarily overheating, but it's not staying absolutely cool either. Anyway. Just wondering what people have had success with and what they recommend. Thanks!

ln2? why not go with something more practical? (Such as a huge cold plate on the bottom of your system attached to some phase change system. You'd probably need a dual cascade for a cold plate the size of the bottom of the laptop. Then you'd have to open the laptop up and insulate it from anything. And it'd probably be the size of a desk... mmmm practicality!)

        lol

It seems like you should be fine with any reputable brand as long as it's in a noise range you can tolerate. Another thing you should think about is probably lining up fans with the vent holes unless your system vents out the back.

Forgot to mention this: If you want to save power, get one that doesn't use a USB port. If you want portability, get one that is USB powered that also has extra USB ports in it so you don't lose a port because of cooling. Ignore all the other gimmics such as temp monitors and readouts and crap like that. Just look out for how it's powered, sound readings, and USB splitter (if you really need extra ports)

I have the Antec one and it works well, although my 3ghz P4 didn't heat up as much as the hard drive or atleast it seemed that way. The cooler kept it cool even when playing games.

I just repaired an Inspirion 1000 (or 1100? I dont remember) The amount of heat that it put off was unreal. Im surprised hard drives last more than a year in those things.

I seem to remember reading some reviews a while back that essentially said giving the laptop room to breath is the best cooling option. Im sure that Antec standoff would be fine, but I remember a lot of theose cooling platforms getting horrible reviews because they restricted air flow.

Maybe I can find that again...
