not in the US, i believe the alcohol limit is like 6% or so. I brought back some canadian beer thats like 8% or so, its really good beer.

I have no idea what you're talking about but MD 20/20 is a cheap-as-hell bum wine thats 18% alcohol. It's also not uncommon to find beer with 8-10% alcohol either, specially beer coming from microbreweries.
