+1 to winning at life. Fighting off four people, two with guns and one with brass knuckles and he kills one, crititcally injures another with his pocket knife and only sustains a small scratch and bruise, the man deserves a medal.

His attackers were 16 and 17 year old want to be thugs. If it had been some group of "hardcore" criminals as soon as he tried to attack them he would have been shot. These people hesitated because they never had any intention of killing or probably even seriously injuring anyone. All they were really looking for was recognition as being tough, being feared, and seeing themselves in the paper. The last few nights people had just been handing over there wallets. When he fought back they were completly dumfounded and had no idea what to do about it.

Being a former marine probably helped him on the fighting side of things but more than anything he had luck and a huge set of balls on his side.

Anyway it's one less theif in the world, five if they have half a brain (I know one of them doesn't anymore).
