thinking back on that, i dont know how i even finished it

You know, I think YOU'RE the sucker. There's no penalty for guessing on the ACT. It's easier to get a higher score.

And if you're getting a 10 on them, I'd worry, since the highest score is 36.

i dont think you have to take both the SAT and the ACT. i'm 99% sure that you only need either one to get into college.

It depends on the colleges you're applying to, and what standardized test scores they like to see. SATs tend to be more of an east coast thing, ACT more west coast (of course there are numerous exceptions). Additionally, the SATII doesn't generally factor in to college acceptance, they tend to act more as placement/entrance exams for determining the proper courses for students to enroll in their freshman year.

Not true. Depending on what college you apply to they require different things. I took both the SAT 1 (new version with essay) and the ACTs. Funny enough I took the ACTs twice and the SATs once and received the equivalent score. Though I do prefer the ACTs because its more of what you can infer from the data given rather than reasoning between two answers. 4 hours of your live isn't bad to ensure yourself to college though.

We only needed our ACT scores to get into colleges around here. I don't think anyone around this area even offered SAT testing!

My buddy and I tied for the best ACT score in our class with 32.

Did yall take the writing part too? I agree with 3pac -- I find it a lot easier to find the answer from the data rather than narrowing it down and picking the wrong one.

Smarty pants. Hearing everyone's scores makes me feel stupid. I got a 1650 on the SAT1 and received a 24 on my ACTs. Oh well, guess it pays to have a good GPA and IB classes to get into college.
