hey, now you know what its like for me. almost everyone i know got greater than 2200... a friend got a 800 on math, 800 on reading, and 740 on writing, and his parents got mad at him and enrolled him in an SAT course. another friend got a 2400. theres only *one* person in my school who told me their score who had a lower score than i did. -
It really depends on where you live. Here in the midwest the ACT is the one you need, most colleges don't care about SAT scores. Though in the west I believe, and wherever else it's the SAT..

Some people just aren't good at standardized tests. My scores definitely didn't reflect what I was capable of. My high school GPA was cumulatively a 4.34 or something like that and my SAT/ACT scores were... okay. Ish.Comment

This is true. I am a victim of this myself. Although in slade's situation, he's on an entire different level, we discussed that outside the forums.Originally posted by tropical_fishySome people just aren't good at standardized tests. I did much better on my ACT then on my SAT's (compartive score at least)
Plus, the ACT was just a whole lot easier.Comment

Man, I'm the slacker jerkoff opposite of you guys. Did decent on my SAT, but only had just over a 3.0 cumulative GPA. And then I got 4s on my couple AP exams. Case in point, I've figured out how to take standardized tests, but I'm a lazy son***** when it comes to classwork. *sigh* Drives my parents, teachers, friends, strangers all nuts.

Thats pretty much how I did. Had a mid 3 GPA but my SAT/ACT scores were good. I'm sure colleges look at that and go "Well...he's a smart kid but obviously a lazy *****"Originally posted by BobTheCowMan, I'm the slacker jerkoff opposite of you guys. My high school required a standardized test to be taken in our junior year, so instead of paying money to take either the stupid ACT or retarded SAT, I took the ASVAB.
Really, its a better idea than taking one of the others when you graduate 3 months late with a 1.2 GPA.
/Good thing I took AP classesKosmo For President '08, '12, '16... However long it takes
