AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Never liked them. Their music is akin to British humor....doesn't make any sense, unless you are British.
Although, "Somebody To Love" is an exception. I do like that one.
All countries humour is relevant to them, just we will rip the hell out of ourselves (and anyone else we can find) which other countries find difficult to get a handle on, unfortunately british humour is thought by many to consist of Monty Python and Benny Hill, way more to it than that, many british shows have been made in the US with US actors etc but as soon as the show is 'translated' it loses all it's impact and most all of the shows that have had this treatment have been cancelled after one season, I think the only exception is 'The Office' but that was only translated as it was thought the accents would be difficult for the US market but most of the sarcasm was left in the script.
Back to the thread topic if you think Queen is difficult to understand (because of your reasoning) then don't bother going to see the stage show 'We will rock you' as that turns Queen on it's head with new meanings that if you don't know the songs will make even less sense. Queen tells storys with sutle changes and in some cases admit it is total nonsense (Bohemian Rhapsody) US rock is all about the girls and getting laid (please note I am being very very general with that comment)
My favourite Queen track is 'Don't stop me now'
'Another one bites the dust' was never meant to be released as a single but it was the Black US radio stations who picked up on it and forced the release so somebody obviously got the joke.
