    Car stereo indoors? Help needed.....

OK. I am in the process of trying to replace a stereo system which is located in a weightroom. The old deck was AC powered and plugged right into an outlet, with 4 PA speakers. The new system I bought is a car CD/MP3 deck and 4 pioneer car stereo speakers. I ran into a problem when there was no AC plug in on the new deck so I picked up a 15 amp power supply/power switcher which plugs into the wall outlet and has pos./neg. wire inputs for the power wires on whatever you plug into it. The guy at radio shack said this would work, but I need some good ol' AO reassurance. Any input/comments/suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Return the car gear and get a normal home unit. The car speakers are going to sound terrible outside an enclosure. You will have to build something to house the head. It's not worth the headache to ghetto rig up a car unit for indoor use.
