I think I may start a Blog or something about one of my neighbors. I have already told you all about my crazy one on the the hill, this is another...we will just call him dummy. Dummy is a young man around 23. He is not by far the brightest candle in the box and is a frequent source of entertainment and pure head nodding disbelief. I will relay a few stories to you...my favorite audience.
Dummy has held somewhere around 8-10 different jobs in the past year. He is a body man by trade, but obviously fairly unhappy/unsatisfied with that line of work or his percieved lack of respect within that field. As a bit of background, we all know that there is a bit of tom foolery at many jobs we have all had where people will play pranks on one another. Dummy and some of his co-workers had been playing jokes on one another. He pulled a fairly good one on a few people so in return they decided to put bondo in the lock of his tool box. Instead of laughing it off and finding the responsible party to clean his locks out...he decides to threaten kicking several peoples ***, including the owner of the company......
So next job, dummy decides he is going to sell a cleaning system. He is so sure of himself that before even making a single penny in the new line of work, and so sure of his product (one of which he doesn't even own yet) he puts both his perfectly good vacuums out at the back of his house where they are rained in and ruined almost immediatly. Of course the new job doesn't last a month. Dummy and his wife were up until recently still using a broom to clean the carpet. They rectified that by putting down hardwood in the common area of the house. Oh and Dummy has a bonfire planned for disposing of all the carpet and a torn up couch he has...I am sure that will be a future installment in the chronicles.
So Dummy had a really nice patio set and a "picnic shelter" (one of those covered tent things) out back. The poured patio was not large enough for the legs of the tent to sit on evenly, so paver stones were used to enlarge the concrete area and set the tent even. Well the leg on one side of the tent got bent by their dog being tied to it. So Dummy goes out and completely destroys the tent out of frustration. I mean tears it to shreads cussing hollering and throwing parts around. Shortly thereafter he comes too close with the lawnmower and bends a blade on one of the pavers he had laid. Well the patio furniture was obviously responsible for that so he throws it all over the yard destroying it as well.
So a few jobs later and after a long talk from the wife about getting a new job before quitting the old one....Dummy decides that he wants a new job. I guess the folks where he was working weren't worshipping him properly? Anyway he quits his job. The boss comes straight out and tells him he will pay $2 more and hour immediately to stay. Dummy goes ahead and leaves to pursue another new career at the "grass greener" which is twice as far from home as he was working before. I have yet to confirm, but I can't imagine they are paying $2 an hour more than he was making before, sight unseen and given his current work history.
Well thats enough for today. I will check in with more...or start writing the blog.
