I'm looking at some forks on ebay. This picture is confusing me. Are the stripes on each fork just the refilections from the ground? I can't tell.

Be VERY careful buying 2nd hand forks. Usually the person selling them is selling them for a reason. the reason is usually because he/she wrecked their bike, and are parting it out whats left. most motorcycle wrecks will bend (even if just slightly) the forks. I would recomend looking at a local motorcycle scrap yard. I know that the bikes there are also wrecked, however you can roll the forks across the ground to see imperfections.
I purchased 2 sets of forks for my lil bros 250 ninja off ebay, and both sets were bent. Not alot, but enough to notice. After basicly wasting 100$ I went to the local motorcycle salvage, and got 1 (I only needed one) for 75$
Forks are something you want to make sure work properly. Similar to making sure the wheel axels are torqued to the proper values.
As for the pic. I dont know. It sorta looks like a reflection of maybe the person taking the pic?
Good luck with it.

The guy assures me they're straight. I trust him. He's from a shop that adds a lot of racing components to bikes. In this case he put on a new set of front forks and needs to get rid of the old ones. I just keep looking at the picture and thinking it's not a reflection.Comment
