Completely disagree on that. There is a quality to a better made item that is worth paying for. There is no way you could compare the optics of a coveniance store pair of sunglasses to say a nice pair of RayBans.
...given nowdays the Quartz watch has all but eliminated the need for a quality timepiece but still there is no denying that you get what you pay for.

And irrelevent considering that the price of this item was never in question, but its actual usefullness.

458 FPS.. Okay.. Now I know my Sheridan air gun is shooting ALOT more than that.. 780 FPS and thats 22 cal , granted I tweaked it alot..
