    Tried search but ??

A while ago there was a link posted on here about the Ferrari, lambo whatever being driven through the streets of Paris, I might have just used the wrong words in the search but does anyone have the link to the video or the thread itself?

The film is called "Rendez-vous", and the car is a Ferrari 275 GTB.

Here's a you tube link: Voila!
God....I guess I was probably returning videotapes.

Thanks, I did have it in my favourites but due to a mother board swap I have a hard drive I can't currently access...long story but it will get sorted. Thanks once again for the link.

Edit, the video is correct but it has music added to it, the original link on here was just the 'real' music of the engine!

That is interesting footage. I suspect it is something from a movie or of that nature. That guy is flying through streets that seem just empty enough for him to pull it all off. At the end he rushes into someone's arms....

It was a French directors idea for a film, a gyroscope stabilised camera was fitted to the front of the car...opinions differ as to which car (Ferrari or Mercedes), the driver was a Formula 1 driver friend and the director released the film at some festival or another and was instantly arrested as the footage was ALL real, he has to date not told anyone who was the driver though some rumours are around to who it was. Every red light WAS ran and the one way streets were driven the wrong way, as there was no way he could get permission for the filming, not particularly surprising.

All the above info I knew before I wanted the link this time simply from reading all the extra links the first time around.

Personally I think the car IS a Ferrari since a Mercedes of that era would not have been that stable on some of those tight corners...even a later one would struggle. Plus the engine/exhaust noise is not particulary Mercedes sounding. I have driven performance Mercedes and they still drive like a boat in a storm around corners. BMW's are way more stable. I haven't had the pleasure of driving a Ferrari, but have blagged a drive of a Porsche or two over the years and they were way better than the Mercedes

I would have to agree with the Ferrari. The off throttle gurgle seems to give it away. I noticed how flat it went through the hard cornering, but that could have been in part the gyro stabilized camera.
Buddy was definately putting it down!!! Its an awesome clip to watch.
