Telescope. The same side of the moon always faces Earth so you just need to look in the right spot.

nobody. the images of neil exiting the craft. decending the ladder, and setting foot on the moon were recorded by a camera on one of the legs of the craft. in fact. i think the joke of "recorded over it" may just be right. when the craft enters/exits earths close orbit, it crosses the van allen belts. strong magnetic fields. and if they recorded it on magnetic tapes (beta/vhs/whatever), it would have been erased. example, see fight club. when they are doing the "homework" in the video store. the characters are passing a strong magnet near the tapes, thus erasing what ever is upon them.

Don't you think that they would have shielded the craft exactly for this though? Think about all of the sensitive equipment inside needed for navigation, life support, etc.--you'd think that they already thought about that end of it. Besides, NASA never stated that the tapes were erased upon re-entry; they just said that they haven't seen them in a long time, leading one to reasonably presume that the tapes did make it back to Earth safely.

Just because you know the area where they landed doesn't mean you can see the actual landing site. Can you see the flag? Not from Earth.

that is ecactly the point. you put a metal object within the magnetic pull of a magnet, what happens? it becomes a magnet its self. how do you protect this? insulate. wood works, rubber, or just space. but how do you protect from the magnetic pull of a planet, you can't. this is one of the reasons they believe we never landed on the moon. even a human being in the van allen belts can mess them up hardcore.

Measuring Moon Distance To Thickness Of A Paperclip

There is a program that measures the distance to the moon with lasers pointed at reflectors left on the moon by several lunar missions. They "see" the landing sites all the time.
