im from the north bay area.

no state in the union better than the golden one. we have the ocean ( the one ppl actually like to see) and the sun actually sets over the water, we have mountains for the winter and we have the best cities in the country. we have a lot of good music coming from here. plus the terminator is our governor.

People here are crazy. Just... crazy. They're either born and bred Californians, who think there's nothing better than socal, dude, it's totally hella tight, immigrants of some flavor, who don't really care where in America they are, as long as they're here, disaffected college students, or transplanted, pretentious East-Coasters who think people from socal talk altogether too much about nothing at all (but the beach is wicked).

I go to school on the other coast, and the first thing people ask me (after they ask if they can spend spring break at my house-- no, you can't) is how many movie stars I've seen lately. People seem to think that SD and LA are right on top of each other-- I've been to LA, like, four times in my entire life. Most of the time, it's been driving through LA. I've been to Hollywood once. The closest I've been to a celebrity was that time I saw Colin Farrel driving through Del Mar on opening day of the races.

      End rant.

My previous statement stands. Keep typing, you only make it stronger.

CA is similar to Jersey. The North and the South are completely different.

Oh god, I'd love to hear what everybody thinks of Jersey...

Uh, while North and South are different, any attempts to compare CA to Jersey is laughable.

California has to many people with lots of money who are out of touch with reality. That's my opinion. I also agree with pyro and lohman.

By the way, the sunrise over the ocean in Maine is way better than the sunset in CA.

Well, you can't really move that far on the freeways, haha. I'm talking about driving on local roads. People in Seattle seriously don't understand right of way. They'll let you go even if they were waiting at a 4 way stop 3 cars before you. Stupid Seattle drivers.

I think Southern California is great, warm weather cool ppl to hang with. Much better than Chicago with its cold weather and Cubs fans!

have you been to CA? I lived in Wisconsin for 3 years, what a hole. When we left WI it was 30 below, when we got to CA it was 70 and beautiful. Wisconsin is akin to Poland.

You cant get much better than CA for the weather and the things to do (beach, mountains, etc) but it's just to crowded and yes, we have some wacky people here. But come on, lets be real, so do all of the states in the US.

i'm guessing that's got something to do with the law about Pit Bulls or whatever kind of dog it is.

oh, and NorCal for the win. SoCal is only better in the summer, and even then only when it is awesome weather.

although i love the week a year i spend in pacific beach.

Ever hear of gulf side florida? It's way better than the pacific. Clearer water...warmer water...white sand. Nothing better than sitting on the beach and drinking coronas while watching the shuttle launches. Then again... I'm an engineer
