I used to have that exact same model, great gun. Ended up putting a adjustable m4 stock and grip on it. That shotty never let me down even though I prefer my Charles Daly semi.

300 seems a little steep. My friend bought hers at gander mt for 240. I paid 340 for my benelli nova with HD camo and 3 chokes.

I was looking at a benelli for a little over $400. That thing was pretty slick, the guys were trying to get me to look at that but... IDK The remington just had somthing about it.

Whats with no sights? are they about like a paintball gun... point and shoot?

              Red dot anyone?

it will have sights, but after a while you'll find it very intuitive.

It probably has 2 little beads on it for sights. That is a great gun, I love mine. As stated earlier 300 is a little pricey, but if you need it now, it would be worth it.

yep for sights mine has a truglo at the end with a bead in the center that it came on. But once you've been shooting long enough its all about feel.

Im an 870 armorer, and having worked on them, I can honestly say that they are simple, well made guns. There really isn't a lot that can go wrong, as they have had decades to perfect the design.

excellent choice for a dove gun!

however id do some shopping around, I think you can get a better price either at Sportsmans warehouse(a few in the valley) or Cabellas which just opened at 101 and glendale.

as for a home defence gun it will work for now but you will most likley want to pick up something else for that role.

If I was freed up today id help ya shop around but I have prior engagements

I got it at sportsmans off of the I-17.

Were you in the shop today?
APD. If so I was the guy with the red esv shirt. A fella from luke was at the shop today and helped me out getting a kid a good set up with an ion. I was wondering if it was you the whole time?

                          Anyway...
I got it this morning. Its really nice. everyone had their guns at the shop and they all said they really liked it. Even the one guy with the benelli auto really liked it.

It has one bead at the end as a sight, but I can tell that is going to be enough.

over all im really happy with it. For a guy not really familiar with anything other than a basic handling of hand guns and assault rifles I was really impressed with the simplicity of the whole thing.

Still not too clear on the whole choke tube idea. From what I can tell its just a way to controll the shot pattern. I compare it to focusing an electron beam on a electon microscope, you can controll the beam width at various ranges from the gun.

I have what is called a "modified" and the fella suggested I get a "Improved Cylinder".

We are going out tomorrow morning real early to go mess arround. So I will let yall know how it went.

Thanks alot everyone, made it alot easier. Im not second guessing myself about it.

                            Forgot to add...
For some strange reason there is a clear liquid falling from the skies here. So im really happy I went with the synthetic.

ya syntheic stocks are the way to go. And for the chokes yes it controls how tight or lose your pattern is. I usually use full for trap and sporting clays, and improved for hunting.
