It looks like their isn't any rust on that thing. Good find. Now undercoat it and keep it that way.
Also ask him if he has the rest of that plow setup sitting around.

yeah but still doesn't justify spending the dough on a new plow

                  haha
I was gonna get some pics of the engine (404V8) but hood latch doesnt seem to work...

also, call me ignorant, whats undercoat?

Edit: dont think there ever was a plow. Guy told me that the old owner towed it behind a motor home or something? Idk

Needs new fuel line guage and sender, he says hes got the guage and sender. Other then that it supposedly runs...

undercoat is kind of like a paint that spray on to make a long story short it help protect the under side of your truck or car from rust and dirt.

                        You mean 304 V8 right?

Undercoat is just a paint you use underneath a vehicle. It's purpose is to prevent rust. Usually is is some sort of rubberized paint. To apply it you need to go under there, remove any existing rust, de-greese everything, then paint it. I recomment a Benjamin Moore produce that I can't think of now but it's a rust inhibiting oil based paint. I've used it many times and it works great especially at it's $40/gal price. I'd then spray on some rubberized undercoating.

Weather or not their was a plow you have the tabs for one in front. Look at the front under the bumer. That bar has a square hold in the middle for trailers, then two tabs on either side for a plow. The upper frame isn't there though.

I don't see why it wouldn't run without a sending unit? The sending unit is just for the gauge, the actual pump should be cam driven and located on the motor. You have to pull the tank if you want to change all the lines and sending unit. I'd go find a good scout forum and ask on there about removing the tank. Also if you want to just get it running for now and it really is the line get a 5ft peice of fuel line, and a gallon of gas in a can. Just put the piece of line on the in side of the fuel pump on the block, then put it in the gas can. It will suck it right in.

That one appears to be in pretty good shape, esp. body wise.

I would consider a complete set of gaskets and seals everywhere before driving that. I bet there is enough sludge in that oil pan to make LaBrea jealous.
