    New speakers for my car.

I'm toying with the idea of getting a whole new system for my car. And the first place place to start (besides the head unit, got that cover) is the speakers.
I'm looking into Kicker speakers. Any experiances with them?
Any other suggestions for a good set of speakers.

    While I'm at it.
Any suggestions for good amps and subwoofer?
I've looked at Kenwood amps and Pioneer subs.

I'm no stereo-pro but I think you are fine with any of the better quality names. If you have it installed by a shop (and they are not trying to rip you off) they should help you find quality components for the best deal.

I went with all Sony in mine; head unit, cabin speakers, sub, two amps.

Can't speak for Kicker speakers personally, but their subs are great. Other good component speakers include Boston Acoustics, Infinity, Polk, and Alpine. You won't be disappointed if you go with any of those. Depends on how much you're looking to spend though. For price to quality advantage, I would go with Infinity.

Kicker makes decient midrange subs, not the best, but no where near the bottom of the heap either and unless you are a hardcore audiophile they will do a great job for ya :)

as for amps, kicker, mtx, sony are decient midrange amps, but by no means should you just limit yourself to those 3 brands. Have heard JVCs sound great along with some others.

Now for your sub enclosure, you are going to want this custom made by a shop, that way they can properly size it for your car, and for your speakers to get the best sound possible out of them, this is mysetup, 2 polk audio 12"s powered by a 280x2 RMS MTX pro amp and sounds great:

A lot of it is going to depend on what kind of sound you are wanting
