I'm a personal fan of Browning shotguns, but I think they only make over unders. I got my grandpas Belgium Light Twelve A-5 (semiauto for those who aren't familiar) after he passed away and I'll never use another shotgun.

To be honest, I'm not really familiar with who does make side by sides anymore.

I guess that just renders my post useless.

Try Stoeger? My cousin got one of their over unders and it is quite nice. It only ran him like 3 C-notes IDK if they make side by sides though...

I believe that Remington still makes a side by side. Over unders are nice but side by sides are more scary.

                  yours for only $40k

I would like a side by side myself that is reasonable. My dad has always had this old damascus barrel cap lock shotgun that I have always liked, which gave me a respect for them. besides living in Arizona with horses and all, the whole old west "riding shotgun" thing puts alot of influence on someone. Absolutly a side by side is more scary.

                    Turkish side by side

Last year for Xmas, my Dad bought my brother in law a Hooglu (sp). It was a turkish made side by side (I prefer o/u myself). Dad shoots one as well. They have a nice look to them. I think they are fairly cheap. Let me get more info.

Got the correct spelling. I was close. Looks like Huglu is now called CZ-USA. It looks like my old man was more generous than I thought, although it was a used gun, they are kind of pricey.

MoeMag: Check out CZ-USA.com and look at their Hammer Coach & Durango for that "ridding shotgun" theme.

Nice. I would have to see one in real life and see how it feels but thats pretty cool.

                      Thx Shives

EDIT: On a further note... no auto ejector. I guess that would be cool as far as realism, but that would suck for a third shot.

Just found that ruger has one...
have to check that one out.

If you go with a side by side, you should definately go with 10 guage. Its better on the stage coach.
