I'm sure it tweaked them alot. They're the ones in range of the NK delivery systems, after all.

now there are reports out saying it may not have been a nuke, and that it will take 72 hours to determine.....maybe just a big load of TNT to pretend they have a nuke?

Let's hope so, though it would take a LOT of conventional explosives to simulate a nuclear explosion, even a low-yield one.

Mhmm...I was waiting for that to be brought up.

The very existence of flamethrowers proves that sometime, somewhere, someone said to themselves. 'You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

And I would bet that special forces teams will be doing alot of dirty work first, if they arent already in there.

real combat ? whats your definition on "real combat" our troops are over there dying everyday , how is that not real ?i say pull our troops out and let the towelheads deal with each other now that weve given them a government and trianed there troops. they can deal with it themselves , weve got sadaam hes not going anyware anytime soon

Our troops are fighting a counter-insurgency conflict. While it has sharpened their skills considerably, any conflict in North Korea would probably more closely resemble the old Cold War/Fulda Gap scenarios. We have really shorted our ground forces in that respect lately.

its dangerous police work, occasional some of the troops may experience actual combat, but if you compare this type of fighting with say WWII, than it is small in comparison. I am not tyring to belittle their role or downplay the danger or courage it takes. I dont like seeing our soldiers killed either.

Sweet mother of god, when is soopa going to stop trying to post in any thread that requires more than 3.5 brain cells?

Japans got a rather decent military. Theyve got a lot of the same things we do, such as F-15s, a miniaturized version of an Abrams, and lots of high tech toys. Hell, theydve wiped out NK by now if SK/US wouldve let them. Also, China has been pretty sick of Kim Jong Il for quite a few years, since hes starved such a large portion of his population to death. Millions of refugees flooded China and since then theyve pretty much closed the border and quit being friendly.
