    Welcome me!

Hey AO. I'd like to introduce myself for im sure the OGs might not remember me and im sure there are new members on here now (and i hope this section is OK for my thread, The main paintball section looked like it moves too fast.) I stopped paintballing back in in 03 and got into cars and racing. Long story short, one of my ex paintball buddies recenently IMed me and we did some catch up. The next night, i had some crazy dream about paintballing again and that did it. I want in. It wasn't that i got borred of it, and i thought about how cool paintballing was durring my break, but it just never sparked that i can just get into it again.

anways. I just wanted to make this post because im excited. When me and my old buddy chatted, he breifly filled me in on paintball in the last 3 years, and believe me, after not looking at any paintball sites for that long, its a world of difference. Before my break, Timmys were the hot new thing and companies were making Timmys right and left, just to give you a time frame of where i left off. I personally had an Adrenaline Angel and a couple cockers which i still have. I was disapointed to find out my cockers are worth nothing now, as well as my Angel which was once at an MSRP of near 2g. But im not supprised. Im just supprised it took people 10 years to realize an Autococker is all hype and simplicity works better LOL

Anways, i looked in the Prototype Lab and Tom's Tech Tips and it dosnt look like there was that much added since i stopped paintballing. WHAT HAPPENED?!

anways. I need recomendation for Mag stuff now. Im guessing Emag is still the AGD flagship marker?

I looked through some of the forums and i noticed BlackVCG is still on here. I remember u =].

    Trip down memory lane:

ReTro Mag was my ALL TIME fav marker. It wasn't the fastest, it wasn't the gentalist, but it NEVER let me down. There were other guns that never let me down either but this one.. i dont know, its someting speical to me now.

The Dark LED Angel was one of my fav guns.

My LSD was one of my fav as well.

    my Baby.. the Adrenaline Angel

      welcome back.

Yup, the mag world hasnt changed a whole lot since you left. I dont think anything new came out of AGD's doors.

if you're looking to make a mag faster, do a search for pnuemags. If you want to pick up a emag, thats up to you, the new Xmod software makes it pretty fast. That being said, if you want to go the electro route, there are better options out there than a mag (blasphemey, i know)

welcome back! you had some nice markers, but A LOT has changed since 03, big stuff would be the ion (Smart Parts's $200 "high end" marker) and the lawsuits with SP, AGD stopped making the Emag, but is still alive, they just recently released a new tac one warp feed body

id recommend an RT pro if youre gonna get back into paintball, they can be made into some pretty mean fast markers with the right modifications, and you get that mag reliability

Good to know that somone of Tom's status seeks "relief" from a sport he helped create. A sport now ruled by a single patent.

Welcome back. I'm too new here on AO to have known you but I was into things paintball related LONG before I joined here. The E/X Mag is still AGD's flagship marker, however they're mostly only available through the used market. If you're wanting an electro and stay mag, definitely look into getting the XMod software. Other than the Emag, Logic has a "Ripper" frame that's awaiting boards at the moment and Big Evil (Mind Job) is in the developmental stages of his own E Frame. The Devilmag is quite impressive but VERY expensive and quite rare.

If you're HARDCORE about staying mech, you could look into getting making a pnuemag. They're not for everyone. I personally prefer just upping my output pressure and mowing faces while I sweet spot my RT. But that's just me.

That's about when I stopped playing. I keep lurking in the friendly corner though I saw some speedball stuff on TV last week and I started thinking the same thing. I want to play again! I've still got my emag standing by. I didn't know they stopped making them. I've still got my zgrip too. I'd probably get some really weird looks showing up to a field with that thing.
