    I thought cellphone cameras sucked?

    this thing takes HUGE pics

    (i have clearer ones, but, i'd get bant)

      Because only resolution matters. Never mind noise, focus or depth of field.

                                      well the new age of cellphone camaras should all come equipped with 3.2MP camaras... they are hitting the us market now and should be the standard by probably next fall. and Japan already has the standard 5mp. we suck

                                              Who cares? pack 5 million photosites on a tiny sensor and the image, while high-resolution, is still crap. The Phones are phones, they have a camera function. They don't have quality lenses. They don't have real feature sets. They don't creat good images. They may be acceptiable for a quick snapshot. Get it out of your mind that resolution is the only metric by which to measure a digital image.

                                                  It's tough to find a decent phone without a camera on it. I'm not allowed to have a camera at work so I can't get a cool phone. It's a bummer.
