i didnt read all the posts, but the action movie of action movies is by far:

I agree, Commando wins hands-down. I don't know how many people Arnold kills in that movie, because I can't count that high. I think the number that comes after infinity is "the amount of people killed in Commando".

Come on people, that scene where Arnold just runs around for 15 minutes with a belt-fed M60 and kills EVERYONE kicks the most rear of any movie in the history of movies. Plus, he kills someone with a saw blade. If it wasn't for that gay english dude in chainmail, the boners that this movie results in wouldn't feel so dirty.

Also, Conan comes in a close second. Come on, if I remember correctly, within a short period of time (like 10 minutes on-screen) he kills someone, has sex with a chick, and then punches out a horse.

Arnold is the king of action.

"remember when I told you I would kill you last? I lied"

Plus, his name was Matrix. If there was some way to have george lucas replace the 10y/o allisa milano with her adult counterpart, then there would be nothing wrong with this move

Best Ground Breaking: saving private ryan/reservoir dogs

Best Series: band of brothers, no question

Best Overall: braveheart -best ever, (shooting action: LETHAL WEAPONS 1-4 or The Rock)

It's hard to pick a best. So I'm going to throw out some movies that haven't been mentioned, and may not be the best, but are some darn good movies that are the best of what I can think of right now.

Best Western: Tombstone
Best Sci-fi: Aliens or Matrix
Best Martial Arts: Hero
Best Car/Gun Porn: Ronin
Best Commies Invade And Are Pwned By Teenagers: Red Dawn
And Don't Forget: The Crow, The Professional, the Rambo scene from UHF

Also, another distinction should be made about, are we granting the "Best Movie" title based on the entire movie, or the action only?
