what food to get for a strep throat

My sister had to stay home from school today with strep throat and I've decided to to get her something from panera or starbucks. I've never had strep so i don't know what it feels like. My question is what should i get for her food wise?

If she is staying home from school than she is too young to drink, but moonshine will kill a sore throat on contact.

I would think some type of soup. nothing with big chunks in it.

          haha!
But I guess we have too many Mexican food places for them that would be sandwich competition.

Liquids only.... Anything solid will be hell going down. I have an issue with getting a case of strep once a year.. Haven't had mine yet this year *crosses fingers*. But seriously the only thing I can handle is soup/broth because the pain caused by anything solid is absolutely unbearable. Tell your sister I sympathize. Hope she gets better soon.

Strep throat feels like a sore throat times 1000. As suggested stick with liquids. I'd suggest cool ones.

You may want to get her a gift card so when she gets better she will enjoy the gift. Right now, swallowing is probably low on her "want to do" list.

I just got over strep and then picked up a colon infection Worst week ever. When I had strep though, I had no appetitie and only wanted water or gingerale. Sprite was too sweet. So maybe go buy her some bottles of gingerale, seven-up, and water.

Hot liquids. I drank cups of hot chicken broth with little pasta beads in it. Forget what that's called...

I always have Tomato soup and if I feel up to it a grilled cheese sandwich to dip in it. I've had Strep and Scarlet fever concurrently before and it's no fun.

Any good hot tea. Mmm tea. Maybe some slightly overcooked ramen? At least it's different than soup.

I had strep and bronchitis at the same time when I was 12. I could have sworn I went without breathing.

I never had strep, but I had mono, which gives you pretty much the same throat symptoms, and you don't want to think about food. I lived off applesauce and jello for a week.

Ugh, bad flashback. It was miserable.
