Just wondering what everyone recommends for a good router? I'm most familiar (and prefer) the Makita line of routers, but figured I would see what some of you use. I'm looking for something under $250. And while were on the topic of routers: what brand of bits does everyone use? Freud is my favorite, but again, I'd like to hear what you all have to recommend. So let's hear it!

Plunge base? Fixed? Variable speed? 1/2 inch collet?
