I once hitched up my old Case 580k, needless to say I couldn't budge it

    Thats what the LN8000's for.

Just a side note for everyone.
The gears I grenaded were Yukon 4.56's, not factory Ford.

You're doing it wrong! Gotta have at least a 3/4 ton and a gooseneck trailer.

How much does that Case backhoe weigh? Doesn't look that big/heavy from pics on google.

Billy not really fighting you but a dodge 5.9L1500 pulled a New Holland 865 (5,500 about) around with forks in the back like no problem. A 1/2 ton shouldn't have a problem towing a skid steer unless there weight in the back. I've seen a 350 (makes yours look like a toy) lift off the end ground about a foot, and thats a 7.3L.

Gehl's are nice I'm prefer a New Holland 865 or LX 190. But then a Skid steer itself is non replaceable unless by another.
        This space for rent.

I was talking about the backhoe that he said wouldn't budge, not the skid steer. We're always towing our ~ 10,000+ pound equipment around, on a gooseneck, because you don't want that kind of weight hanging off the *** end. Although we have pulled quite a few 8000 pound loads of hay on a car trailer. Oh and a few 6000 pound loads of hay with a 96 F-150 with the 5.0 engine. Just gotta gear down and rev higher in that little pickup. lol.

Thats why she didn't budge. Suspension couldn't hold the trailer jack off the ground.

Good news, got the rear back together last night. Ran well on the break-in run. 475 miles till I can romp on it again

My uncle owns a rather large residential heating and air company. Once a week my father would haul the scrap metal to the scrap yard. They use an 18' car hauler with 8' tall sides. They often pass the scales at over 7000lbs. This all being towed by my fathers POS early 70's Ford 150 with a 305 motor. It's amazing what small engines can tow.

Wow you trashed a set of Yukon's? Even being that they were 4.56's they shouldn't have done that. I assume the diff it's self was stock? I wonder if you blew the spiders first which took out your pinion.

How you like those new Extreme AT's? I think next year I'll be needing new tires for the Jeep and the GF keeps trying to talk me into sticking with the Xterrain's, but I am just not sure yet. Her logic is that I have a perfectly good spare. If I change tire style I will want to replace the spare too.

Yeah, I don't see the Yukon's blowing up on their own unless you were really beating the hell out of them.

Can't really say on the Xtreme's yet, only put 25 miles on them so far.
I picked them up as winter tires, plus they have the 50k warranty
My only dislike so far is the less aggressive look, but they are AT's not MT's

To my surprise the AT's were more expensive than the Xterrains in my size.

Are they a heavier load rating or maybe more ply's?

Nope, both are load range D, 2 ply. Prolly just the Xtreme's were just released.

Bumpzorz from bottom of page. I'm gonna be out of town on X-Mas, but I set the poll to close then. Close competition so far!
