So Christmas is coming up and I'm having trouble thinking of some ideas for my girlfriend. We've been going out for about 4 1/2 months and i kind of want to do something romantic. I was thinking about going over to her house and waking her up then go to starbucks/breakfast and give her something there. But I'm up for any suggestions
Gift ideas... somewhat romantic

Maybe my girlfriend is different but...
Just spend time with her.
Stay home and snuggle with her.
Then make dinner for her.
A single rose often does wonders above and beyond something complicated, and hey, if the occasion calls for it, like a real Christmas present... at 4 1/2 months, K.I.S.S.

Does it get cold in Kansas? I'd assume so. How about outdoor ice skating? It doesn't involve getting up early, and you can do the whole ice skating + hot chocolate, then curling up by a fire somewhere with a movie. Ugh, this is so sweet and cutsey I'm getting cavities.Originally posted by bentothejam1nwho said anything about early hah

i figured the whole 'wake her up and take her to breakfast' thing implied the morning. maybe that is just in california.Comment

You're 16 and dating for 4.5months. "Romantic" isn't what you should be looking for.. Or maybe I'm just out of touch? That's the 'getting to know you really well' phase as far as I'm concerned.
The best thing you could do is find out what she wants to do...then do it. And don't complain. If this consists of dragging you to various stores in a mall..grin, bear it, and remember this phrase "That'd look great on you!"Such a sham(e).Comment

Shiny doesn't always.... Hey look a dime!
Anyway, back on topic. K.I.S.S. is a grand idea. Even if it's just a card, or a flower, it's something and she'll love it.
For example, I got a tag with my girlfriend's other name (don't ask it's a long, complicated explination) engraved on it and I'm making a simple necklace with it. It cost me, what, $10 and a tiny bit of work? But, I know she'll blush really big and she'll wear it.
And it's true. At your age I wouldn't worry about being romantic. As I look back on my past relationships, it was overly complicated to do that and it didn't do anything extra. It was still fun however.
Good luck with the Christmass present. It's hard to figure out what to get sometimes.Comment
