Can anyone here spell???

For crying out loud people, is it too much effort to type the word "YOU" instead of "u", what about "YOUR" instead of "UR". I am so sick of wading through the sea of horrible horrible spelling. If you are incapable of spelling, there is a spell check feature...USE IT!!! Maybe if you take the time to spell words correctly, you will also think over what you are saying and not sound as much like a moron as you typically do. ARGH!!! This is part of the reason I think we are going down hill real quick. For all of you who think I am being too harsh, an Idiot, whatever your choice of words...Flame Away!

Yes, I hate the short hand stuff. I would rather miss spell than try and read that stuff.

I'm in total agreement. I try to keep the spelling and grammar of all my posts as flawless as possible. I hate trying to read illiterate crap.

I just hope that the lack of grammar and spelling is due to people being green on the PC. Think what the preamble to the Constitution would be like if certain people authored it.....

"We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

Actually...with friends i usually use "ur" or "u" and sometimes here on AO. I have kinda been training myself not to though, because when you are typing school reports....lets put it this way, i got a C because i used U's and Ur's and all that shorthand and never even realized it. I do however happen to have a problem capitalizing my I's in the middle of a sentence. Sometimes i tend to do this...

I think that most people put "u,and urs" in thier posts,are becuase they are trying to save time.In a real hurry to get nowhere,and let me tell you what,they are getting there VERY quik.

Well this ain't grammer school. I tolerate a lot. We should not be jumping on people for lazy typing skills or spelling errors. MY fingers are dislexic some days too.

I can't say for sure, but I dont think its being lazy, its the "in" thing with the younger set. My daughter sends me emails with that sort of thing in them.

I'm old and lazy, but would never think of typing "u" for "you", as I would actually have to make a conscious decision to do that, where as typing you is not.

I don't know about the bad grammar. Some of the posts I have read sometimes leave me wondering what it was the person was trying to say.
